Slime City is made up of the three Michaels of We Are The Physics - the post punk new wave band that reached worldwide success before disbanding in 2013.

Following their debut single 'Less Jools More Top Of The Pops', a track about the gentrification of music, they released four DIY singles, including 'Dial-up Internet Is The Purest Internet', and 'You & Everybody That You Love Will One Day Die' (called 'Sound of the summer' by BBC Radio 1 Scotland).
