BUFFO'S WAKE BIG BAND

Hatched in the murky backwater of Brighton, UK and armed with accordions, violins and a bucket full of gusto they waltz, tango, mosh and kolo their way through a vast array of influences from Eastern European, Balkan and Russian folk, to punk rock and cabaret, telling tales of debauchery, deformity, zombies, incest and anatomy and making audiences dance late into the night in the process. In their time together, they have toured all over the world, finding an inspired, confused, sweaty, and often very drunk reception everywhere they go. THE DAYTIME PALS

The Daytime Pals are an improvised rock band featuring members of progressive punk outfit The Display Team. Working to the briefest of briefs, they predict that themes, variations, grooves (whatever they are) and stirring melodies will be plucked from the ether before your very eyes and stuffed into your very ears before your very brain knows what’s very happened. Watch in awe as four musicians, hopped up on hubris, gingerly explore their instruments as though they were the contours of a new lover’s body, and tease out of them they-know-not-what - and nor do you.
